sync 3 check for new firmware schedule?

Hi, according to the manual the sync3 will check by itself while connected to WiFi while connected to a router (most cases home router while the car in garage)....
but my question is this:
Since we do not have the option to force a check, what is the built in check schedule?
today is 11/6/2015, my sync3 is stating "last checked 10/31/2015).
any way to force check?
anyone knows?

Hi m.a.s.e,

You can manually check for updates when the vehicle is connected to WiFi. Go to SETTINGS>GENERAL>AUTOMATIC UPDATES>CHECK FOR UPDATES.

I stayed on the screen for a few seconds while connected and the date changed for me. I also turned off and on auto updates, so I don't know if that did anything either.

Either way, nothing yet

Sorry for the confusion. SYNC 3 periodically checks for updates when you have the automatic update feature set to on and are connected to WiFi; however, there is not a way to force a system check. Also, we have not been provided with the exact update schedule.
