I mention this just so that as many in-car entertainment choices as possible are covered...

I use an Android Nexus 5X mobile phone and Spotify paired to the Sync 2 over Bluetooth. The Nexus 5X also runs Google Maps for navigation and TomTom speed cameras all with announcements coming over the car speakers.

Using the same setup above to run everything at once with a standard Nexus 5 worked but it used so much power the phone battery discharged even when it was plugged in to the aux power outlet.

When I had Gracenote on it would keep playing music tracks in alphabetical order... which was messy, turned that off and reindexed and it's now playing in track order.

It does not however understand multi-disc albums, so it will play track 1 of disc 1 and then disc 2 before proceeding to track 2 etc. (and it's kinda random if disc 1 is first or not). Guess I will need to retag those albums.

I had more luck putting all my music and pictures files on an SD card. I also prefer the SD slot as its less likely to get whacked and broken than something sticking out the USB ports...
Get a nano usb pen, they are tiny :)

EDIT: as shown in post #11

They are good but watch out for them heating up at times, more on the 64gb versions.

I had no need for one that big, I swap out my music as opposed to storing the lot on it.
