Stripes: paint or vinyl

I remember my first Mustang, '67 Fastback (rust bucket-Iowa Winters), we had to replace floor pans rockers, rear qtrs. and front right fender. Painted it Candy Apple red with White Stripes, this was 1981, My friend who owned the body shop told me the white paint was Chevrolet, he said they made a much 'brighter' white than Ford. I agreed. Car came out great.
If I put stripes on my CS/GT, it will be paint not tape!

Yep…paint em on!! The hoods with glued on scoops that are non functional is another issue with me!!! I also love the Velosity Blue much better!!!! Good luck !

Stripes alone were around $3k. The bill was more but included the strut tower brace, mirror caps plus repainting the bumpers to be an exact match instead of the factory close-enough (since painted at different times and different formula by Ford).

Choose who does it carefully since the other side of the coin from the pluses is if done wrong, you can't just peel them off but have to fight with the shop that screwed up the first try to do it better rather than worse.
