At lunch today I needed to run an errand at lunch time. I drove to the store as normal, highway speed nothing crazy. i went in, did my thing and got in my car to drive back to work. I hit the button, and the car fired right up. But, this is where it gets weird. The dash was totally dark, the radio wasn't on nor was the HVAC. As I went to turn the wheel I noticed that the power steering wasn't working either. Oddly enough my dash cam and Access Port did power up. The windows also rolled up and down perfectly fine. I drove around the parking lot a bit to see if everything would come on. Eventually everything came on, but the wrench icon was lit up and I got the Adance Trac service light. I turned the car off, started it back up and everything was back to normal again. I'm so confused, I thought maybe I blew a fuse, but I highly doubt all of those systems are on the same fuse. Also, the fact that everything did eventually turn on kinda kills the fuse theory. Any ideas? I checked the diagnostic function on the AP and it didn't show any codes or anything.

Cant relate to this exact car but I had something similar happen to me in my Challenger RT. Fired it up, all the warning/emergency lights were on so I drove it straight to my mechanic. Got there, shut the car off. We came out to turn it on again and everything was fine. He hooked up to it and couldn't find any codes or anything. Never happened again for the remainder of the time I owned it. He told me it must have just been a misfire.

Loose connection somewhere

Sounds like something is loose. And will make connection intermittently allowing things to function at times. Monitor the condition and take note of what works and what doesn't if it happens again.

I had my dash lock up on me... I couldn't use my steering controls and the light sensor wasn't sensing correctly. Killed and restarted the car several times, even reloaded my tune... then on its own it all came back to normal and never happened again.. almost 1 year since.
