All, I bought a 2015 manual GT with 10k miles on it. I have had it about 6 weeks now. I changed the oil in the motor and put BG in the trans, changed the air filter and put a cat back on it. At certain RPMs in spirited driving for example a highway on ramp there is slight hesitations with the car. It is not as pronounced in track mode as standard. Is this just a product of the stock tune?
Also what is the actual difference in driving modes? Just engine timing?
With a "tune" would it eliminate these minor hesitations?
I know the initial tune in my 2010 Shelby made a big difference.

drive by wire in other words the newer cars no longer have cable throttle bodies it's all electronic so there is a throttledelay. torque management the new or 15th and 16th manage the torque through the ECU tune would help for both these things some people also get a JMS pedalmax or even better throttle response. last but not least is a wheel hop, the struggle is real in a manual so cradle lockouts differential lock out better vertical links better tie rods in the rear as well as better Springs dampers and tires.

I think what you describe is the throttle body speed, it has a max speed that it will open no matter how quickly you hit the accelerator

Interesting thoughts. Now I'm curious to keep my eyes open for a pedal max. Would a tune do the same thing?
My Shelby is drive by wire as well and it doesn't have the hesitation like this. I'm in thr process of installing all the steeda parts now actually. I wonder how much of a difference I'll tell.

Ive heard that some tunes can speed up the throttle body opening speed, but of course you should ask the tuner that directly

yes Tunes help for some but most still end up getting a JMS pedalmax anyways as its much better on dealing with throttle response. 2010 Shelby while also being drive by wire was supercharged from the factory well that would be there it wouldn't be as a parent with a supercharger as compared to an NA motor. the less restrictive the airflow and exhaust flow becomes on these motors the more noticeable the hesitation is going to become.
