From the outside, the GTs resonator looks the same as our V6s. I can't confirm if it is or not.

If it is the same, maybe the wider pipe would change the tone slightly.

I just swapped out the stock for a GT take off. Looking at the resonator the part numbers were different. Looking inside the openings they both seemed the same. Sorry I didn't copy down the part numbers.

Anyone in the New Tork tristate area have GT exhaust available for a dull sounding v6?

Thanks.

I live near NYC and scottsville, ny is 6 hours away. A little far for me to drive round trip. I'm in no rush so will keep an eye out for others.

Kinda weird why would one install GT exhausts on a V6 bc most GT owners just change out the stock ones right away.

I believe cause it's louder than our stock and most have been giving them for free and not a lot of people want something substantially louder unlike me (borla atak or stinger soon!)

Its for the difference in sound and can usually be done for free, since so many GT owners want to get rid of their stock exhausts. There's quite a bit in tone difference, which is not picked up very well through video.

Yeah I couldn't be happier. Had it on for about 300 miles. Nice smooth deep tone, best mod for the the money(barely any money) lol

Found and bought a GT exhaust on eBay for $120 shipped. It isn't the low price I see on the site but it is still way cheaper than any aftermarket exhaust. Now I have to play the waiting game.

We need to hear what it sounds like with both shorty and longtube headers. Who wants to donate me some :)

Both tips are 3 1/2 inch. The V6 tips are tinny and when you look inside you'll see the actual exit pipe.
The GT are more a solid tip with the rolled chrome and go further into the muffler.

Also the baffle inside the GT is just a bit shorter. Hard to get an exact measurement.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
