called CDC today. They said I can order now for 355$ shipped from them or wait till the end of april and go thru RPI designs/modmystang/etc. and most likely get it for around 299 shipped. ill just wait since it would only get me the product a few days faster.

Is $299 from RPI a typo? Is $299 from RPI raw (unpainted, unprimed) or painted to OEM colors? If painted, remember they might take a week or so extra to batch a few same color wings so as not to have to mix lots of very small batches of paint.

I'm gonna say that's likely to be unpainted. CDC has said they will only distribute the spoiler unpainted. RPI Designs would most certainly add a premium on top of the $299 for paint-to-match.

Personally...I'll take it blank and just plastidip it. Works for my black-on-yellow theme :cheers:

That makes sense. I did not think about RPI selling raw as well as painted. I do not have a 'black on' DIB theme, but you comment makes me wonder how a black CDC spoiler would be on my DIB convertible. I still want to see this wing (body color and black) in more pics as they are released in the wild. Especially on DIB coupes and better yet, convertible. ;)

Not sure if the CDC wing is a bit more radical looking than I'll like (esp on my V6 ;), but black, if it looks good on a DIB car, could tone that down a bit. I can't wait to see lots of pics!!!

RPI for 299 would be raw, they told me they might not even be willing to paint it, depends how much prep work is needed. they have 6 booths with 6 painters painting their own parts full time with a 3-4 week back log, and if the CDC spoiler needs extra prep work it wont make financial sense for them to offer it painted.

I would be torn between going with a comp orange spoiler or black. I would love for the pics on the website to be updated with all the colors like it says is going to eventually happen.
