Anyone else get this. After stating the car and walking around to the grille area do you have the sucking air sound, then goes away once the engine idle goes to normal. :ninja:

Could this be from the intake air holes in the grille and can I cut more holes to help the car breather easier. :mullet:

I know there is a thread about someone making more holes but no mention of any noises.
Thanks

never noticed it, when I start the car I usually start driving away instead of walking around ;)

Pop the hood and start it up again. Check to see if it is the cooling fan.

Some cars have secondary air pumps as part of the initial warm up to reduce emissions. Usually only kicks on for about the first 30 seconds. Not sure if these cars have it.

Will do, it only sounds that way while the idle is raised a bit due to just starting up. Kinda crazy though. I'll do some investigating to see what it is.

Thanks

I have heard that noise. If it is the intake bringing in air having more holes in the grill is not going to make a difference when the car is sitting still and in order to benefit from more holes while moving you will need an aftermarket CAI since the stock airbox has a tube that is designed to line up perfectly with the existing holes

I definitely hear it with my MAP CAI, I never noticed with the stock one... You can really only tell with a cold start, until the car drops just below 1K.
