Do you use yours as a daily?

Do you regret not getting the extreme? I know your going FI at some point, but if you wasn't would you have gone with the extreme?

I drive it every day, 2500 miles now since pickup end of January. Everyone compliments my car how it sounds, because unlike the extreme the sport sounds very American V8, I did not want a raspy sounding car, I've got an M3 which sounds like a million angry wasp all packed inside an exhaust.

Plus when on it the Sport is more than loud enough, to me inside it sounds glorious, as one mate put it when I flew past his type R he thought his windows were going to shatter the exhaust was so loud. The sport also holds that deep tone through the rev range, it never loses its vocal range and just becomes raspy noise like to extreme does to an extent. :)

Plus I am likely to fit manifolds at some point, no doubt Milltek with high-flow cats, which will make the sport louder, as extreme is too loud by itself, if you add manifolds it becomes Nascar loud. Plus I want to do the odd track day, no chance of that with an extreme due to noise limits of 98db at most tracks these days.

I have to agree with gibbo - I have the sport Gt350 manifolds and they are loud when you are on it - I am going to get a centre resonator box to try and quieten them down. But not sure about selling the xpipe. my main reason is track days. there is noway I am going to get through scrutineering with an xpipe

but the sound through Hindhead tunnel is nascar on steroids

You changed the manifolds on your RHD UK 2015 Mustang? Please confirm if so what did you buy because most if not all do not fit RHD cars.

No gibbo just the mid section to x pipe.... the manifolds and cats I am going to leave alone until someone else goes through emissions. Been burnt in the past with high flow cats....

Yep high-flow cats tend to fail MOT, had same issue with my 911, only way it would pass an MOT was stock cats and stock factory map.

I am watching Millteks progress and worse case I simply stick with stock and buy the Whipple. :D

We know a Whipple with stock TB, stock cooling and Whipple tune knocks out around 650BHP on a UK car, no slouch. ;)

Add in the TB upgrade, fan upgrades and that is an easy 700BHP. Drop the pulley to 3.625" and your over 700, get custom tune and your at 800+ so though manifolds are nice they are not a must.

I shall be adding Whipple with larger TB, fan upgrade and using Whipple tune, I shall also fit a dampened crank pulley such as MMR or ATI. :)

Any need to keep putting the sentence highlighted in red in pretty much every post you write?

Also the part in blue...everyone has an opinion mate and what they want their car to sound like but I wouldn't say the extreme doesn't sound very american V8. Yes I agree the extreme has a rasp to it when GETTING ON IT but you can have a nice rumble when you are cruising along and to compare it with a raspy M3 is "extreme" because some exhausts on those can actually make the car sound like it's broken.

I am all for opinions, criticism etc but your posts are coming across too much as "What I have done is the best way to do it" and it's getting a little boring now......

If only I had the money to chuck at my car as some of you have done. The suspension mods look like they have paid off,but you know what we've all got pretty good cars anyway.I said I wouldn't mod but I've done a couple of things and I've yet to fit my exaust . I'm too old to be climbing under my car now and changing my oil and filter was enough.Keep up the good work lads

Wish I had the spare cash to do more to my car as well lol but the exhaust was a must for me and I couldn't say no to the sale price hehe.

After seeing the guys fit mine, I am glad I didn't attempt it myself using jack and stands, I would still be on the floor...

The plan was to put some more hours in at work yesterday evening but then I saw what the weather was going to be like next week (rain). I thought sod sitting at work with the weather being so nice, so I left work normal time, got in, grabbed the GoPro and went for a nice drive plus took some pics. The GoPro thankfully shows the car as competition orange :)

Great pictures Stark. :coolphotos: In some of the bottom snaps you've captured a hint of the strange kinda salmon pink hue that comp orange takes on in low sun from some angles. In fact just like the angle my car sits at on the drive when looking at it through the front window of an evening. At first it was  But now I see it as an unexpected bonus, wife finds it amusing, and that's a double win in my books . Comp Orange has turned out to be my equal favourite car colour ever (with java green that I had special order on an Audi at great expense) :D
