So I finally bit the bullet and had the exhaust swapped out yesterday. I bought it off Hammer Time (good to see you again mate), and the great guys at GT101 Dave (@djone101) and Lee, fitted it for me. Honestly if you need any parts fitting, then I highly recommend GT101. Very welcoming, good laugh and you get to see some really lovely GTs.

A little sound clip I put together from the go pro footage I managed to transfer on to my phone before the battery died. Try and listen to it using earphones or surround sound because it will help with the sound. In real life this exhaust is loud and a bit raspy when you are getting on the loud pedal but when cruising in any gear the exhaust has a nice rumble and is very quiet at motorway speeds, which was my main concern and not the neighbours on cold start up :ninja: it pops and crackles, which sounds awesome as well :hail:

I have got extra footage with a couple of passes through a tunnel :eyebulge: that I will collate together and upload when I get time, but for now I hope you boys and girls enjoy a little teaser.

Holy balls that's loud.

Does sound awesome. On someone else's car!

As much as I like a noisy V8, having driven mine for over 3K now, I think the 2 weeks I'll be spending driving round europe this summer is about as much as I could stand in one go.

I would've liked a louder exhaust but the car gets enough attention on it's own without the FRPP Sport announcing my presence everywhere!

Yeah, fuck those damn neighbours, eh!
I made friends with a few of them over the years so hopefully that will help me out

Yeah I only went with this exhaust because it's a weekend toy and it's all about the fun. If it does get too much and the big grin on my face stops, then I will swap it out, but for now "you can hear me but can't see me coming"

sounds nice mate, cant wait to hear it in person,
too loud for me though
I will let you know when I am next out and about. If the weather is nice I might head down to the coastal road near Tilbury over the weekend to see if there are any photo opportunities.

How is the corsa extreme? It's my 1st choice as its a weekend car. And I also hear there is no drone on the motorway with it right?
Not going to lie, it's loud BUT you can control the volume easily with the amount of throttle you use. Accelerating is a nice sound and then can easily cruise in 3rd or 4th around town and it just have a nice rumble. Get on it and it's just awesome....for a weekend only toy, daily drive it would be too much.

No drone at all when cruising along in any gear. You can only hear it on the motorway when you have cruise control on and you have an incline where it would automatically open the throttle a little but music at normal talking level and all is fine to cover that.

Everytime I go for a drive it puts an even bigger grin on my face lol

I have Corsa sport, like the extreme there is zero drone in any gear at any RPM, the noise cancellation works very well, holding a conversation is fine, it almost seems quiet inside.

The sport is deeper and not as raspy as the extreme, but the extreme is quite a bit louder over 3000rpm and gets raspy. If you plan headers, buy the sport, if you plan on keeping stock headers go extreme but be warned it is very very loud when on it.

Do you use yours as a daily?

Do you regret not getting the extreme? I know your going FI at some point, but if you wasn't would you have gone with the extreme?

I have to agree with gibbo - I have the sport Gt350 manifolds and they are loud when you are on it - I am going to get a centre resonator box to try and quieten them down. But not sure about selling the xpipe. my main reason is track days. there is noway I am going to get through scrutineering with an xpipe

but the sound through Hindhead tunnel is nascar on steroids

Like I said it is loud but nothing like some of the boys in America with straight through pipes, de-cats etc...you can control the volume easily and when you want to get on it, let the fun in your ears begin...popping, crackling and all sorts lol
