Guys. We have land speed record events up here in Northern Maine which takes place in Limestone Maine. It is standing mile. All you need is a safe car, with good tires and a helmet. Depending on speeds, a fire extinguisher in your pit area, a pair or driving gloves and fire jacket is recommended.
Numbers have come down for attendance and I have been lucky enough to run I'm this event for many years. I hate to see it dissappear due to lack of entrants.
Where else can you rum your car flat out safely? No police to worry about. Not much wait times. You get all kinds of runs.
I encourage you to spread the word and make the trip.
There are 2 events. We used to have 3 events, but attendance forced them to change the schedule.
This is quite a rush and worth every penny. If you don't want to run every day, you can probably get a discount.
I would like to see some new faces and some fast cars.
