Look at the short term fuel trims bank 2 on the max side, thats a huge difference between the two graphs.I dont see any reason for that happening.

you really can't look at max / min, you have idle in the car, when you let off the dyno on the car, etc...

whats important is what the car is doing on the actual pull portion of the dyno.

to get a good overall picture, look at the average, not what happened during 1/5th of a second or something at some point where the car was logging.

if you look at the average you have 1.00/1.01 on one run 1.00/1.02 on the other.

that's about as good as it's going to get.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the discussion @ hand is trying to find the source of performance issues for 1, maybe 2, S550 owners who installed SW Catback?

Your telling me the min max dont matter, how do u think most techs find dropout and other problems.I know what looking at the averages means, but these are not small difference, meaning was something fulled with.I have handfulls of cf cards of data. And the way them graphs are laid out u cant tell shit.

isn't it silly?

Well I suppose it's pretty serious.

Especially since I would like to put SW Catback H-Pipe on my own S550.

there is no performance issue

we just proved that last night with proper logging

if you take tom's car, to the same dyno, same day, same fuel, same conditions, and do a back to back as we did, you will find the same results

the other car that had a question was a performance connect system that made more power with no catback hooked up, which I will concede will happen with any car and any system.

if you want to run open headers, there is no need for a catback.

Beefcake will there be a minor performance gain post SW Catback installation?

Like 2-5 HP?

Also will the car require a tune after the catback installation?

slight gains, and by slight I mean slight, that's with all cat backs, cat back is mainly for sound, if you read the information posted, your factory connection point is 2.125 inches. nothing is really going to gain you much as far as performance, that is what headers with perf connect are going to do

if you like the SW buy them, if you like kooks, buy them, if you like magnaflow, buy them. we have them all.

buy your catback based on sound. that is what I tell every single customer
