squeaky belt

I have a whipple and my belts have started squeaking intermittently. When it squeaks, it is loud.

The dealership that did the install wants me to wait 2 weeks for a service apt. Any simple suggestions that I can try before then?

I read on another thread that was similar to this with the whipple belt, and whipple actually suggested to turn the belt around to fix the problem.

Spray the belt with water , it should go away and not come back.

In the olden days with vehicles having a belt for every accessory squeaking was common I was told to take a bar of soap while it was running and lightly touch to belt. It would stop it for a while/ few weeks. But then again that was the olden days.

Turn the belt around. The gates belt sometimes on the cut side, where they part it has an edge that rubs a stock guard, and makes he noise. Flip the belt around and it will go away.

No, front edge to the back edge. Can't invert, that would run smooth on grooved pulleys.

Turn the belt around. The gates belt sometimes on the cut side, where they part it has an edge that rubs a stock guard, and makes he noise. Flip the belt around and it will go away.

This works. I was the OP on the linked thread and since turning the belt around have had zero squeak, even after 300 miles.

I know, it sounds crazy, but it did work.

No. I ran mine for a week before I had time to swap it around.
