On my way home today my battery alert came on which was a little weird so I checked all the gauges and noticed my cylinder head temp was up to 248. I got off the freeway right away and when I finally came to a stop the cylinder head temp was at 265. I open up the hood and sure enough the belt is completely shredded and the coolant in the coolant tank is bubbling like crazy. Could the temps getting that high could have caused any damage to the motor?

This Procharger kit has been nothing but a headache since I purchased it. The power is awesome but other then that I've had nothing but issues. The belt was brand new and was put on yesterday morning so I have no clue why it shredded. This is also my third belt in the last month since I got my blower back from them installing the impeller the correct way. Before I sent it, never had a problem with a squeaky belt. Now no matter what after a day of use of a brand new belt it starts squeaking. It has made the car unpleasant to drive and I am even considering taking off the kit and selling it.

Sorry to hear that. I had a similar problem when I had my procharger in my G35 but it just happened once. I hope you don't have any more issues.

Doesn't seem to be on too tight. There's about 1/2 inch of up and down play.

I'm just worried my motor may have been damaged with the temps getting that high.

265 for a short time should cause no problem ..I'm surprised my belt has not come apart because of my coolant leak soaking the belt..Is your belt touching the head ? Mine was and I had to trim the head to keep the belt from touching the head ..

Does anyone know how to align the belt? I believe that is my problem. You can tell it kind of goes sideways off the blower to the idler pulley.

Belt not tight enough. I had that problem as well. Belt is piano wire tight now and no issues.

Before I even start the adjustment process the belt length needs to be very close to not going on. Then I start with adjuster all the way out and go from there.

PC'S belts are really not right but everyone seems to be running different pulleys so therefore belts are different.
