Splitter winglet

It's amazing the winglets are $80 and the fog light splitters are $130 but look to be about the same amount of plastic material. Like pulling prices out of a hat.

I agree the fog light splitters look nice but $130? :bolt:

It's amazing what a**rape these companies get for a few bucks worth of plastic. These should be half what those prices are (maybe the winglets $50) to be anywhere near reasonable.

[MENTION=22912]Chef jpd[/MENTION] could you please share some pictures of where you mounted the screws on the CS splitter (photos of the underside). I decided to do the winglets last night only to discover that the CS splitter has massive holes on both corners (and the whole splitter is like a "cover" without a bottom).

Mocking it up, it looks like all the screws have to go upfront of the winglet as there is some plastic available in the splitter to drill into, but I want to make sure I mount it securely.

Here you go. I went heavy towards the front and added a Stainless screw at the rearward portion. Rock solid.

Drill carefully or you will end up going right through the top of the splitter.
And yes, I park on the ceiling.

Fog light splitters from MMD
1 screw and tape, took 20 minutes tops.

I'm still deciding what I think about them.
So again, California Special Splitter, MMD winglets, MMD fog splitters.

I really like these. I was gonna order a set from AM, but last time I checked they were $120.:doh: JESUS H CHRIST!!!! that's a lot for two little pieces of plastic...not even PTMed....:tsk::tsk::tsk:

Thank you so much for a fast response! The push pins appear to be longer than the thickness of the splitter, so did you only drill half way? Also, where did that rear screw go into? I believe that's where the gap is.

Sorry to pester, just trying to make sure I understand.

I cut down the push pins a bit.
I put a stopper on my drill bit so not to go through the top.
The rear screw went through the splitter and grabbed the inner structure as well. If you pull back the wheel well liner, you can see where to drill.
When you tighten the screw it will pull everything together.
