Rear rock guards come installed from the factory. At least mine did.
Thank you for answering my question. I realized that after I did some more reading on the Jaeger Bros website.

I agree that the ZL-1 guards work well. Before I installed mine I used a heat gun and bent and formed them to the contour of the opening. 2700 miles so far and they are rock solid and look like they came from the factory.

I’ve fought the ZL-1’s for a good long while and can’t get the tape to stay adhered. I replaced the tape with 3M VHB and still got this same situation where the tape is gapping and starting to pull away.

I could see how this could happen if you installed them as they come out of the box. That is why I used a heat gun and shaped them to the opening before installing them. If you install them straight out of the box they are flat. After installing them in the curved fender opening they want to spring back to their original shape. My ZL-1's have been on for 2700 miles and are still solid as a rock. Heat them and shape them to the opening before installing them.

I think that is a very good idea but if you look at your picture it is the same situation I have. Your guards are pulling away.

That picture was taken right after I installed them. They have not moved and are not pulling away.
