I know there's a million posts of exhaust systems but after having 5 combinations I'm still looking and have some questions. Below is the chart I've made with my notes. The 5 on the top are the ones I've had, the bottom are ideas for the new combo. Specific questions/notes are:

The intake, tune & headers will be on any future system, so basically looking at different mid-pipe and muffler combos. Best way I can describe what I'm looking for is the Borla S-Type Catback but a little quieter (Kind of loud with headers). Was thinking the Borla resonator would do the trick but it made the system too much quieter (very surprised at the difference). Deeper the better, very opposed to rasp or high pitch.

What's the difference between the Magnaflow Comp catback vs the Magnaflow Comp axleback paired with a H Pipe? Is that basically the same thing?

Other combos are welcome but I've really narrowed it down to some version of these.

Magnaflow comp catback has bullet style mufflers whereas the Magnaflow Comp axle back is a muffler delete. So if you were to get an H pipe with your axle back its going to be louder and I can assure you there will be drone. Rasp exists as well.

Thank you for that info, I can cross the Magnaflow Comp axle-back off the list but maybe the Street mufflers (I think they have to be bought as a generic product) with and H-pipe could work. Do you know how loud the Magnaflow Comp catback is vs. the Borla S-Type catback (both w/catted headers)?

Holy exhaust junkie! Have you considered MBRP?

Happen to have someone with the Borla S-type so we just swapped around a bunch of parts. That was the last one standing on the list I crossed off. To be honest I forget the reason why. *Oh, multiple people said it can get a bit raspy up in the higher RPMs*

What if I did and H-Pipe instead of the X-Pipe with the Borla S-Type, would that quiet it down much? Are there any other mid-pipes that would have the volume in-between the FRPP X-pipe and the Borla Resonator?

What about the frpp sports? I've read on some threads that they're in between the borla touring and s-types volume wise. I'm talking about the catback by the way

I have BBK long tubes, to BBK high flow catted Xmas pipe going into a full Borla ATAK system (mid pipes all the way back) no drone as the ATAK system is tuned by Borla for the mustang. Great sound here it is at an auto x evebt. [ame]

The magnaflow comp axle back does have mufflers. They are the same bullet style mufflers that come with the catback.

I just removed the lethal h-pipe and magnaflow comp axleback from my car it had great deep exhaust note without any rasp but the drone while cruising I didn't like. I think some people have successfully installed j-pipes to tame the drone but i didn't feel like molesting the exhaust to install them.

I replaced it with the Corsa sport catback from Hypermotive. It has stock like sound while cruising but is loud enough when you get on the skinny pedal. It definitely has a more exotic euro style tone to the exhaust.
