Truthfully, while I am definitely okay with tuning an engine it is not my priority coming out the gate. If for any reason it would be to get some more power up top. And besides I already have 2, possibly 3, for real project cars. This doesn't need to be one also.

TBH, the only real reason to get an ecoboost over the GT is price. If you can comfortably afford the GT, definitely go for it. Unfortunately, the GT was too expensive for me so I went with the ecoboost, which will be more than enough power for me since I'm coming from an '04 hyundai tiburon GT that had very little power.

Exactly. It wasn't just total price. I went EB for several reasons, even though all, but my first two mustangs, were V8's. I love the GT, but I also wanted better bas mileage and a lower total price with all of the toys.

Plus, I really wanted to try the Turbo out. I haven't been disappointed.

Its not like if you get a tune you have to run it all the time for the next 5 years. You can just keep it stock, flash the ECU when its time for some fun, and take it back to stock again. Or with a tuner like COBBs u can just put it on the economy mode and eliminate boost and then just switch maps when its red light time :)

Dirtleg its a shame no one mentioned it yet but the EB has plenty of power stock. Enough where breaking the back loose is just too easy when putting power down (even at speed or a downshift), enough to make you pee a little every time you drive in the rain and especially if it snows, enough to seldomly be able to push it's limits on public roads, enough to get a little chirp in 3rd if your pushing hard, enough to regularly sneak past triple digits if your not checking, and enough to catch up and pass 95% of anything you will encounter on the road, ever.

PP: gold. Car is incredibly flat in corners and fairly stiff, but still compliant enough in most battered roads. Its like you can distinctly feel the thickness of the paint of the pavement lines when you touch them. Between the humble difference 3.55's make over 3.31's and having a manual transmission, it will feel and sound tad better when shifting. The auto kind of smoothens out aggressive shifts. GT brakes are a blessing, especially when you find yourself in triples. Add the handling improvement and you should be nicely surprised when you get it. It has gotten a tad better too after the first thousand miles. Dont be anxious to jump to a tune yet, it doesn't need it. People autoX Miatas and FRS's regularly and this will blow either out of the water. Enjoy responsibly :)

fun fact (for any model with drive modes): yes you can feel a difference in throttle response when going from weather to normal to sport
