so coming from BMW to ford was difficult for me. I did not know what to expect and was unsure if there were forums like this to ask questions and talk to like minded people. I am happy there is :)
one thing I have noticed about the Mustang community is we all drive a Mustang. I haven't seen many negative comments towards the GT, V6, or Eco owners. On the BMW forum (e90post) there were countless times where people would bash on someone for their choice in car (mostly 335 drivers hating on the 328 crowd). in my opinion, that crap is unnecessary.

so thanks 6G for being awesome!

Fellow BMW to Ford guy here as well :) I have noticed the same thing. I bought a 328 (the 4-cyl turbo version) and took some flak for it.

Loving the Stang so far though. Puts a smile on my face every time I get behind the wheel. (even just sitting in it when it's parked in the garage )

Nice to see BMW owners come over to the Ford camp. The 2013 M3 has a special place in my heart and is one of my all-time favorite cars. A high revving NA V8 just makes me smile. Not to mention how sweet it looks and how well it handles :).

This forum is awesome and has lots of great info and people over here.

This bashing is rampant on other forums related to the Mustang. I have gone through 3 other groups before landing here. Childish bashing from GT owners on Ecoboost owners, non-S550 on S550, GTPP owners bashing GT Premium or non-PP purchases, auto vs. manual....etc. Basically, if it isn't a GT manual with PP you are stupid...unless the basher is non-S550. That is why I have under my avatar the question of it this is the group for me or not.

I do not mind spirited banter and disagreements but in my crazy little world I believe they should be mature and civilized. Everyone has a right to an opinion but it should be expressed constructively.

This forum seems to be a great fit! So far I am enjoying it...

There is some of that here. There've been plenty of auto vs manual posts especially. I cringe when I see those, but if you know what to avoid (and who to avoid... I have a few on my blocked users list) it's a pretty good community here.

Definitely more friendly here. I still own a 2002 BMW 325i. To be honest, if the S550 Mustang did not have IRS, it would not have made my list. I am very thrilled to get the Mustang. The BMW community is an odd bunch.

I scouted a number of forums (especially the UK ones) before joining this one & there was far too much hate going on in them.

Love this forum - everyone is helpful and friendly & a great bunch of guys & gals [emoji106] [emoji3]

what other forums are you on? the only other forum I have found has had so much spam in it (links to movie websites and ads). its stupid.
Everybody bought their car for a specific reason and I do not hate on anybody for their purchase. I personally would not buy a v6 mustang but certainly will not hate if anybody else does. have fun with your car!

The transmission bashing gets old quickly. I personally have an automatic because I drive commute into the city every day. I do not want to push a clutch for 45 minutes in stop in go traffic. When I get in the car I just want to enjoy my drive as much as I possibly can to and from work.

The v6 and Eco are both really good cars. Better power than the GTs a few years ago. They are nothing to be ashamed of!

Hey Krah,

We are always here to help!

I know exactly how you feel, a few years ago I had an E46 //M3 that had nothing but problems. To get an answer on the BMW Forums was like pulling teeth!

Beautiful S550 by the way! What are your plans for her?

Let me know if you ever need anything!

probably just exhaust, tint, and red accents here and there. eventually I want to get a rear seat delete, add a roll bar some fixed back seats, and new suspension. but that's a little ways down the road.

Understood Krah,

Regardless of when you get it done, you definitely have a great mod list going and I would love to help you along the way.

Let me know if you ever need anything!

Do you former BMW guys use the turn signals now, or still just cut everyone off?
I always use mine. I'm usually the one getting cut off by beige Camrys.
