SoCal Meet & Cruise #12: Palomar Mountain to Lake Henshaw - August 14, 2016

If there are enough of us, we do a 6:30 pre-meet at the movie theater right off 15 at Mira Mesa Blvd. That address is:

I'll come Sunday but will just meet you in Mira Mesa since it's closer to me. I'll be there at 7:00.

This thread is getting out of hand. We are not meeting in escondido and then going to Oceanside. That's asinine.

I was asked if I would be willing to lead the cruise. I said that I would since I am the most familiar with the route.

Anyone is welcome to meet wherever they want, but if I am leading the cruise, we will be meeting in front of Sears at North County Mall (I15 and via rancho parkway) and leaving there at 9:30am.

My planned route:

1. Highland Valley rd into Ramona
2. Turn off of main st in Ramona and head to Old Julian Highway
3. Old Julian Highway into Santa Ysabel
4. North to Mesa Grande
5. Mesa Grande North to Palomar South Grade
6. Up South Grade to the general store. Stop for break.
7. Down east grade back to Mesa Grande

8a. North County people are welcome to head west via 76 back home
8b. South County people are welcome to head south via the 79 to the 78 west and back home through Ramona

However the route from Oceanside to Palomar, ending at the lake Henshaw restaurant has already been determined. Now what happens after that, is up in the air. Usually everyone does their own thing after lunch. Check the first post, it has all the info, and a map of the actual route. If you've been asked to lead the cruise, that's great! And like I said, your proposed route is awesome! Perhaps you can start another thread with your designated route and cruise date. I'll certainly sign on for that one!

You said Oceanside leaving at 9. That means getting to Escondido at 9:30ish and then we'd roll out...

I'll meet up with you wherever? Just meet in Escondido (North County Fair) ? I'm taking the 56 from Carmel Valley to the 15 then North to NCF exit unless you want to meet before that?
