So whats wrong with Big Worm Graphics..

Or any other internet stripes? It seems I can't find an installer around here to put my stripes on. I went to 3 shops and they won't install stripes ordered from the internet because " its cheap material and they won't stand behind it". One shop dissed vinyl all together and insisted the stripes get painted on. For such a "cheap" material, theres an awful alot of 6G folks here that use them. Can anybody here concur with the shops, or are they all blowing smoke?

I went through the same thing. Every shop said the same thing and wanted to use their own vinyl. One shop near me was going to chrge $650 lol. I got a mobile tint installed to intall stripes. It was $300 but they look great.

Basically they don't know the quality of the vinyl used so they don't want to install it because you'll come back to them even if the issue was with the vinyl itself. I don't blame them.

I would guess that a good part of their profit is also in the vinyl and not on the install.

^ Coaster is spot on. Now Big Worm wise, nothing is wrong with them. They're local for me and I used them on my light tint, and a friend got stripes done. We've have no issues whatsoever and saw many other cars they did while I was there. Maybe ask Big Worm what they're specific type of vinyl is and tell your installers that. I was extremely happy using them. Good people there to deal with and glad I'm local to get my stripes done in the future.

you can do it yourself too... measure that center point and use a lot of water/soap or whatever big worm calls for and you're good to go.

We are happy to talk to any installers that want to contact us with any questions on our products and we send material samples so they can see what they are going to be working with. We are working with an industry group to find some more qualified installers, but just joined last week so waiting to see how things go before we recommend installers.

Also most towns have multiple body shops, so if one shop has no interest you can call another one. We ship graphics to shops during collision repairs, they email pics of the wrecked car and we send them what they need to replace the damaged parts.

We include 4 pages of printed instructions with pictures so you can read along instead of having to watch a video multiple times. None of us here like being on camera which is a big reason we don't have more videos. I have a friend that is a country singer that was in some of our videos we did a couple of years ago, once his schedule works with ours we plan on filming some more (hopefully Nov/Jan). The narrow stripes are easier to install than the wide stripes for people with limited experience. Also if you want to try it, we can sell just sections that you want to redo. Some people decide to take them some where after trying and others catch on after some experience.

You're getting rejected from vinyl shops because they want to make extra off you by selling their own vinyl. I also had one vinyl shop said that they only do 3m 1080.

Its super easy to install yourself, It was my first attempt and it turned out pretty good. Theres DIY videos that walk you through everything. Use plenty of quick detailer for wet application, Bigworm even gives you a plastic squeegee tool to help you with application

We use 3M 1080 on some of our colors, the Hexis is easier to install since you can warm it and get rid of small creases, scratches, etc. Also the Hexis vinyl will last longer in severe conditions (hot climates). Other than that it installs just like the 3M 1080.
