Ranger, did you get a chance to try out sport+ mode yet ? Just curious because even mine is an auto.

Not yet I'm still having fun in sport mode, can only imagine what it will be like in sport+ mode, they oiled and pea rocked the highways around me so I need to drive farther away(15-20 miles)to get to some nice tarred highway surfaces and that's where I want to play around with sport+,not on these roads.
In town I would end up getting busted in sport+ for sure hahaha.

Read at the bottom of this page on the JMS site, they will sell you tunes for SCT devices. Makes me wonder how insane it might be to have them write a tune for Mustang Pedalmax users?

http://www.jmschip.com/JMS-Custom-Tuning/

They offer a single email tune for $150, or 3 tunes for $200.

So for $500 all in you could have 3 different tunes and a Pedalmax, if you already own an SCT device (I do).

Hmmm....

EDIT: I just emailed them asking about their tunes, and if they can load onto the SCT X4 I already own.

They offer tunes for SCT device owners to purchase and get via email:

"Yes we can send you tunes for flasher, the three tunes can be however you wish but most are a safe tune, max street, max race style setup. Pedalmax does not require any special considerations in the tune so you would not have to retune just for the pedalmax."

JMS was very responsive by email, also explaining that a good tune goes some of the way on the throttle, but cannot eliminate the lag like the Pedalmax.

"It can get better with a tune but it cannot be eliminated like it can with the pedalmax."

I currently run a Bama tune, some of the highest gains are that max boost is maintained and shift is held out until 6,800 RPM when pushed (stock it seems to fall off, then shift around 5,500 RPM). It does not cure the lag between pedal and throttle response though...hmm...

Keep in mind I am Ecoboost, not V6, just trying to add info to your thread.

Just a heads up I read a test drive in Motor Trend were they has trouble getting the max performance out of the Ecoboost. They learned instead shifting at MAX RPM's they shifted at MAX Boost you'll run out of MAX Boost before you run out of MAX RPM's.

You can run the PedalMAX with any tuner including your Bama. The PedalMAX was my first mod in Feb 2015 before there were any tuners I got a SCTx4 preloaded 93 tuner last March and the work well together. The PedalMAX increases the voltage to thr throttle body and the SCTx4 increase throttle response at the ECU.

Don't know, for not just sharing info in your thread after asking them questions.

My Bama tune shines at maintaining high boost all the way to 6,800 RPM, so if Motor Trend didn't re-tune the car they were likely fighting the stock tune a bit.

Yes, although oddly enough Bama themselves didn't like the idea of loading the Pedalmax on top of their tune when I contacted them. I agree it should not be a problem, and is still an option I consider on my Ecoboost.

Have you seen the JMS BoostMAX?
I have, overall I'd rather have a good tune which addresses boost, shift points and pressure, throttle curves, etc.

The Pedalmax (or Pedal Commander) are what intrigue me since they eliminate LAG time.

Pedal Commander at virtually the same price ($299) does seem more intriguing, since you can adjust it on the fly and mount the controller under the dash.

Pedalmax does have a variable potentiometer you can add to it, but Pedal Commander is cheaper at that point and the box itself is kinda cool...

I have just looked into the pedal commander box and found that total 36 :D
4 positive, 4 negative and one neutral mode in all 4 modes :headbang:

Installed last night man its just blew my mind. Someone said earlier that our v6 does not feel like 300hp before well it does now. Best mod so far which enhances driving experience. Completely happy customer !!

I have tried complete city mode, Sport mode till +2 and there after I could not dare to go beyond.

Its a mad pony now :hail:

Already down by 1-2 mpg. I was almost about to rear end at a red signal where I was not used to immediate response from my stang.

My suggestion to people who install this for first time please slowly graduate into sport + mode from city / sport.

So what's the main difference in the commander and the Pedalmax? Besides u have 4 modes with the commander. I saw were the Pedalmax gives u 100% throttle response. Would that be like using sport + 4 mode on the commander?
