I've done a blog for my last 2 cars and I started looking for a domain name to use....someone owned gt350r.com but I was able to buy it....yes a sort of ADM...

I also bought .net and .org. What other creative things do you guys think I should do besides a blog?

Not sure I want the management nightmare - ton of forums out there and this sub does well enough. :)

Honestly, What about a Wiki?

Or, barring that, an information repository of sorts.

This is a vbulletin forum, and I own one too. The admin could easily add a Blog feature and save you the trouble. Even if you paid for the feature, it would be cheaper and easier than putting a blog on some obscure website.

I've created an obscure website before and it did fine...and I own it. I don't like investing my time in organizing a blog on someone elses platform - you don't know where it's going to go...and then there are a ton of banner ads...
www.93coupe.com - a little outdated but...gets the point across.

Hey, it's your time and energy going toward essentially zero eyeballs (noting next to zero comments on 93 coupe). Your blog can exist on multiple platforms, Wordpress is just one. Just helping you to benefit from experience, to each his own...

Ok, so let's get past the "should I" and focus on the "what should I use it for". I'm using it, period. If nothing else, it documents the care of the car. I sold my 93 coupe recently and the site was one of a few reasons that I got my asking price without any hassle.

93coupe.com doesn't lean towards comments in that regard. For the longest time, it funneled users to the FB page /93coupe - and it has enough activity to make it worth my while. Tons of linkbacks prove it's referenced frequently.
