Heading to the snow soon and wondering if anyone has already found chains that fit the standard wheels? Hoping not to need them, have not actually fitted a set to any car in the last god knows how many years I have been there, but you have to carry them and on the off chance if I did have to fit them also don't want to trash the car. Usually take the 4wd but due to work commitments the family is going ahead and I am meeting them there, and I will need to take the stang.

I know I'm in the states, but I have a 2016 GT performance pack and I have ran cables on it. There is a little bit of a "tail" at the end of where it hooks. I used a piece of wire to secure it out of the way. Ran them just fine for 10 miles on donner summit in California. I'll get you a part number if you'd like.

A part number would be great so I can google them and hopefully see what type they are. I rang a few places with the tyre size and they told me no problem for the tyre size, but they don't know if there will be any clearance issues with the Mustang. Hoping not to need them but I think it will be OK, the car has stock suspension so there is a fair bit of clearance to the guard ( Fender). We also get the PP as standard here ( well parts of it in any case) the rears are 275/40/19 on ours.

The rears on mine are 275/40/19 as well. The cables are listed as being for a light truck/suv and are Peerless part#0196555. I ran these on a 16 GT w/performance package with no interference issues at all. It was a bit of a pain in the butt to fit them with the limited clearance, but was possible on the side of the road in the snow and cold.
