Converting my Scrambler 4 cylinder 4 speed to a 350 sbc carburated with a 700R4 transmission. Tires will be small 29"

I have read a lot of builds on net but have a question.

Will a 383 stroked 350 use more fuel than a 350 if both motors are identical?

This motor will be stock and built more for torque since it is a Jeep. Not a go fast vehicle.

Trying to build with MPG in mind. I am stuck on being carburetor, not fuel injected.

I think the two will be very close in terms of MPG. Probably too close to call.

The 383 would be my pick assuming all the same internal parts as the alleged 350. The extra cubes will 'eat up' a slightly more aggressive cam versus the 350, if you get my drift. Dual plane intake with a small 4-barrel, or even a big 2-barrel (i.e. simpler). Torque machine.

Yes, Crane or crowder RV cam. Somewhere around 600cfm carb with good ignition parts, 9:1 to 9:5 Compression.
