Well dealer said if I want to try to get them replaced then they would have to have a district rep come and put sensors on the car and see if its within limits and drive car to see also. In other words quite the hassle. You don't feel it even with hand on steering wheel you only can see the little wiggle if you let go of steering wheel. So just not worth all that and even if they were to give me new rims whose to say one or both wouldn't be a tad out of round (I'm told that is very common on forged wheels) Then comes the issue of mounting without scratching up the rims. No one around here can, they just say no promises that they won't get any scratches. So since I now know what it is and unless actually let go of steering wheel to see the slight wiggle you would never know and don't feel it guess I'll just leave it alone.

Damn you got a lousy dealer and tire shop. There is a spec for wheel run out. I would insist that measure your wheel. I would have regional manager call you. Or go to another Ford dealer.

Actually I have an excellent dealership. They are willing to take this further with a district rep if I want. But for such a minor slight wiggle in steering wheel if let go once they told me all involved as far as rep coming down. putting sensors on car to check if within specs and driving to determine if new wheels needed and on top of what I said that whose to say one or more new ones might be slightly off and be right back where I was I determined to not do any thing. I'm sure its within specs since its ever so slight. You don't feel it, if you barely touch steering wheel it stops. So to me it could be more of an over reaction than issue. But I'm glad I know it isn't a bad tire or alignment. The only tire shop here that is great and found issue can't mount tires on that size wheel and all others including Ford said no guarantee on scratches on rims so it just ain't worth the hassle for such a unnoticeable issue.

Well they still have my 2016 Shelby I traded in and steering wheel was smooth on it . Tires only have 3,000 miles on them. Dealership owner wants to change wheels and tires on front over to my new one and have me drive it and see if ok. If so we'll just switch them. I'm good with that, and also a kind jester from dealership owner. My tires are new but I don't consider 3,000 miles on others a big deal. And won't get any scratched up rims either. So will do that first of week.
