Sidewall size question

So I have a set of 19x10 Niche essens on their way from Need4Speed (thanks Paul ) and now comes decision time for tires. I'm going to go for 275 or 285 wide on all 4 corners but I cannot decide between 35 sidewall or 40 side wall. Which is better and for what reasons?

285-40 wont fit too tall. 35 series in either 275 or 285 will work fine and ride fine.

My 285/35-20 on 10" rims just barely clear. Not all tires are the same dimensions regardless of the named size.

I just realized your talking about 19" not 20". Check the manufacturers web site for the height as it is the height that will be limiter between a given width of different aspect ratios.
