Hello everyone, My name is John. I have been on the forums for a while with my 2015 V6. Recently I was in a position to trade up into a GT.
Here she is, Her name is Charlotte and she is a Base GTPP. I picked her up 7/26/16 and I thought id put together a build thread to chronicle the changes...
I apologize in advance if this has been answered before but I cannot for the life of me find an anything on this using the search function.
Will the factory GT Premium 19'' wheels clear the GT PP Brembo brakes. I am looking into winter wheel options and these would make a great choice...
I have a question about the Base GT350's interior, I have looked around and have not been able to find any pictures or documentation as to whether or not the base interior has the two gauges in the center of the dash (like the PP GTs) I believe they are oil pressure and water temp in the GT350...
I went from the 235 55 R17s on the stock v6 to a square set up of 275 40 R19 on 10'' wide rims. The only difference is that my spedo is about 2 mph off now. I have run the car in several local auto X events with and without traction control and had no issues.
I'd like to see an actual test done to see just how effective the 2015 heat extractors are at flowing air. It just looks like they are too small to make an appreciable difference in under hood temps or aerodynamic efficiency. In all honesty even though the 2016 has blocked off some of that aria...
It was a nice review. I'm currently leasing a V6 due to financial reasons (just got out of collage) and I was really surprised at just how good of a car the V6 mustang is. Its plenty quick for my daily commute and the occasional autoX (new wheels and tires make the auto X better :headbang:) base...
One of my favorite mustangs has a pony-less grill and has quite a bit of de-badging as well. If its good enough for Frank Bullitt its good enough for me.
Any chance of seeing someone make a 1968 style heat extractor hood for our cars? It has always been my favorite style mustang hood and with the 2016s getting turn signal indicators in the hood vets you could relocate them to the new hood and retain the functionality.
Clarification
Ok so after reading this thread I have come to an interesting and shocking conclusion. Sadly it seams as though the GT mustang is faster and will beat the v6 and ecoboost mustangs in a race. I know, I know shocking right? Who would have expected a vehicle with over 100 extra HP...
