Yeah $150 for install is very reasonable. That is well worth the headache and stress trying to get it right doing it yourself unless you have done them before. The bumps I am thinking are air pockets. You would just need to take your time and work your way from center out just like in the video.

I used that exact video to give me an idea for how to install mine from big worm. I installed them almost exactly like that video and didn't run into any problems. I had never done full vinyl stripes beforehand. The vinyl from big worm is very good quality and actually really forgiving. My advice is to use plenty of water so you can manipulate the vinyl easier and take your time. As for the air bubbles, if you spray the top of the paper after you've laid it on the car you will be able to see where the bubbles are. Big worm includes a felt tip squeegee that you can use to get them out without scratching anything. Work them out as best you can before peeling the protective paper off the top of the vinyl.

If you're up to doing it yourself I say go for it. Just give yourself plenty of time to get it done.

Measure for centering the main stripes, but for the bumper it is still kinda hard to get it to lay just right. The best thing for the front bumper are the pinstripes. These give you an opportunity for manipulating and fine tuning the alignment by overlapping the main color if needed.

Listen, i have done one install on my own car. Take my opinion for what it is worth.

Cool, one more question.

How to decide whether to go glossy or matte? Car is magnetic. What are the advantages of each?

Does glossy stand out more? Matte is for more stealthy look? Or will the matte look good with the contrast of the shiny magnetic. I'm getting pinstripes though so there will already be a good contrast.

I will go for glossy or semi-gloss (like the 3M S colors of the 1080 series).
Matt will get dirty very fast and every greasy spot will be visible (like fingerprints and so on).

My Magnetic Mustang will have stripes too. I do not know what type and color yet. Firts I need my car delivered.
But then I will test some options.

Installed Big Worm Graphix narrow matte black with red pinstripes yesterday. Super easy install with the instructions provided. It was tedious work; took me over 5 hours from start to finish, but that's mostly because I was paranoid and kept double checking the measurements and everything. And also because I was obsessively cleanning each panel as I was working acorss the car, lol.

suckerv, one sexy car I have a DIB as well, and that color combo is awesome! Are the red pinstripes gloss or matte? Just wondering, because I'm thinking about doing the matte black strips with bright green pinstriping. I just don't know if the pinstriping looks better as gloss or matte.
