Not at all. I didn't buy a GT350 or GT350R but I did get an RS at MSRP. I guess my only point is that with the GT program, Ford is demonstrating that they can, in fact, "enforce" their MSRP. Admittedly a MUCH smaller set of buyers and therefore more manageable but if they can do it with the GT then why not with other Ford Performance offerings and stifle the dealer ADM practices?
There is a HUGE difference in how the GT is sold vs the GT350. Essentially, the GT is sold directly through Ford and that is why their are no ADM's. If you look back some years and you would see that the GT did carry ADM's when sold through dealers.

Everyone wants to bring up MSRP when it works in their favor and then laugh at a dealer when they start to negotiate off MSRP on a F150. Ford could do it the way GM does it. Have a ridiculously high MSRP (see the vettes and specialty camaros) and then have to give "discounts off MSRP" after a year of sales. Now you can get a Z06 for almost 20k off MSRP. The new CTSV is already coming down quickly. So how good of a deal was MSRP? It's all based off market value. If a dealer is sitting on a GT350 for 15k over sticker that's their prerogative. It'll sit unless someone buys it. Fords invoice to MSRP difference is a lot smaller (generally) than the GM side.

In regards to Tesla...everyone talks about how great of a system it is...until you find out they haven't turned a profit since conception. I think at some point this year it was a 250 million+ loser.

When I was in sales I had a saying....you buy a F150 from me at sticker and I'll sell you a GT350 at sticker. Funny how that never happened.

At the end of the day it is what it is. I understand people get REALLY upset about it. But if you want to buy one, find the deal you're happy with. If there was 20k sitting on a table next to 25k I don't know about you but I'd take the 25k every time.

I wouldn't want ford involved in pricing or selling what so ever. (Except with very very limited production cars such as the GT). That would open up for price fixing between the big 3 or 4 auto manufacturers. Could you even imagine paying MSRP for your next F150, Torus , Fusion, ext . I'd say as consumers we win 99% of the time with prices. My next statement,,,,, remember I'm not in favor of ADM's, but it keeps the elusiveness of the vehicle high. How would you feel if Ford ran a lottery for RS buying potential and you didn't get picked? same for the 350. The ADM's sort out the serious buyers from the tire kickers.
