contemplated tearing this head off myself, but I have farmed the work out. I'd rather not pay for it, but I'd also rather have a running engine after, lol. I'll probably add headers while it is down.
Based on my compression tests, shortblock should be ok.
Just weird how I drove an hour parked then drove another hour with it broken (I think since breakage wasnt confirmed until after getting home but it ran just as bad once home as it did as I exited the track and pulled into the paddock).
I did see the upper limit for misfires is like 65 thousand.
Got word that my engine issue wasnt as bad as possible and I kinda lucked out.
When the valve spring broke, the valve was apparently held tight by the retainer and didnt actually drop far enough to kiss a piston.
Now I just have to have a machine shop check out the valve to ensure it is straight, check the guide and install factory (gen2 and boss 302 spec) springs.
Darker holes are #8 (bent electrode) and other is #6 (broken valve spring)
