Why not "allowed"? They don't make them for inport? Is it a right hand drive issue?

Ford Australia have never been clear as to why they won't sell the GT350 and GT500 here.

I think it had a lot to do wit the exhaust design not permitting right hand drive and the exhaust exceeding noise regs. To change this would require Ford redesign, test and validate, the cost to do so would outweigh the low volume of sales.

It's extremely short sighted of Ford and Ford Australia as it's presence in the market would actually help sell regular Mustang's too via it's image.

And we can't have a ute. I really like the Falcon XR8.

It's a basic human condition, always wanting what we can't have.

As is the saying "you don't know what you had until it's gone".

For decades, Australian had access to reasonably priced V8 sedans and utes. They were performance cars for the average guy or girl, something to aspire to and be proud of. Ford closed their Australian factory in 2016, GM (Holden) did the same a year later. For Aussie Ford fans, we had the Mustang to somewhat replace the performance Falcon's. GM, well it announced early last year that they would be exiting the Australian market completely. It's extremely disappointing. For decades, Falcon and Commodore were the two best selling cars in Australia. Now, the best selling vehicles are made in Thailand and massively overpriced for what they are (Toyota Hilux & Ford Ranger).

I count myself extremely lucky to have two Falcon's share the garage with my Mustang. The blue one a 2008 XR6, the red example one of the last Falcon's in the form of a XR8.

Those XR8's had factory hand assembled Supercharged Coyote's.

I use them to stop tire flat spots, not sure if it helps or not but it makes me feel better.

They are just pieces of 3” rigid insulation I cut down to size.

Very smart, and FAR cheaper than ‘tire savers’. So, jack up, set foam and let Jack down?

did you install jacking rails too or no?

Yes I have jacking rails.
Yep, jack up the car, place the board under the tires and let it down.
I use a board of insulation like this. It can be purchased at any home improvement store.

Put mine in hibernation today.....

Changed oil and cleaned up the engine bay....wasn't that dirty so pretty quick.

She was outside under the OEM cover, but finally got her inside and a new form fit cover from Covercraft.

In case I forget what is under the cover.....

Hello Everyone. Been some time since being involved here. Snapped a couple of pics of an old gas pump that was used many years on our farm. It is a "A.O. Smith" model , late 50's early 60's.

It was well used over time & needed some metal work to get it back as new. When restored it will carry the colors of the "Sunoco" company along with a new glass globe "Sunoco Racing Gasoline".

Another project started a few years back that needed to finish up this winter. Where does time go! LOL

Post up pics when done. Glad your doing Sunoco colors. I collect Sunoco items having worked at the Marcus Hook Refinery for over 30 years. One of my many jobs was blending gasoline and Race Fuel.
