You do realize that most wheels in that size range have lesser load ratings, yes? Ask around how well CCW classics hold up. I've never heard of a wheel failing more than those ever. If I had the money for GA1R's with a 2000lb rating, then yes, obviously I would. But I don't so...sorry I guess?
i do realize that, but just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean you SHOULD.

I like breathing. I also like to push myself and my car during open track days. I would not risk thin margins.

::shrug:: If its a style thing, more power to you. I'm just a bit more of a function over form dude.

Then spit out some suggestions if you disapprove so much. Amazing how people enjoy criticizing without solution.
my choice is forgeline. Vossen's 19" barrels dont clear our brakes.

you may not prep your car for hard track driving. That is totally cool.

I dont have any interest in the associated risk of lesser wheels. I'm willing to spend the coin on forgelines.

So anyone who's not running Forgelines technically SHOULDN'T be, as you say. And yet I saw 3 sets of $800/corner CCW's crack last year...on autocross, hardly a hardcore sport.

Lighten up. It's not like we're buying Chinese copies of Enkei's.

autocross is one thing, hitting the back straight, spinning up to 165mph, braking hard and swinging into a tight turn 1 with a wall in front of you is a MUCH different animal.

you can run whatever you like. Running an autocross on the wheels you spoke of? Not an issue. maybe you spin out doing 40 mph, you arent going to pull g forces that are relevant to my point. Start running on a big, fast track that also has tight turns? enjoy your pucker factor. Once you see a wheel fail on a full road course, in person, you'll get my point.

until then, go forward with God my son. Have a blast!
