well for starters if the do blow they're covered by warranty true?

I listen to bass heavy music and I get the feeling (might be just a feeling) that the AMP always keeps the bass power below a "safe" level every time I crank it up all the way.

Going to depend on whether or not you have the sub woofer I'd imagine.

I do and mine is:

Bass 0
Mid 3
Treble 3

But my system has the "muddy" issue and nothing sounds right. what you listen to will also greatly effect where you might have your settings parked at.

Play around with it.

I find on my 400A package the bass setting almost does nothing. Time for some better speakers I guess.
Wonder how much cost is to add factory trunk subwoofer. I would imagine all the wiring should be there already.
