Hi all, I'm new here

About 2 months ago my buddy and I ordered a ProCharger kit for my 2020 GT Fastback and we finally got around to finishing it a couple of weeks ago. I live in California and I was not really in the market for a 400-500 HP power increase, so I went ahead and ordered the CARB legal Stage 2 kit, which comes with adjustments from ProCharger themselves to make sure that the kit stays somewhat smog legal.

Anyways, ever since we first fired the car up, it threw a handful of codes at me, which I kind of expected. I went ahead and loaded the supplied ProCharger tune (which I've been told from several people is far from the best) into the car and everything was fine for about a day. I went and started up the car the next day and the same codes came back. The 3 codes were P2BF1, P2BF3, and P061A, the first 2 being the car detecting a very rich condition, and the 3rd being a torque table issue. I contacted ProCharger and told them that my car was not drivable because of these conditions and they mentioned that they had a similar problem on their shop car with the P061A code and that they had developed a revised tune to get rid of the issue. They sent me the revised tune and I loaded it up into the car. The car was driving fantastic and smooth up until about a week ago when all three codes came back. I'm just running 91 pump gas in the car and plan to maybe switch to an E85 system down the road, but for right now I'd like to see if I can just get this sorted.

We're pretty stumped around here and I popped on here to see if anyone has had a similar issue with a boosted 302 or if anyone has a fix for it. All signs I'm seeing now are telling me to contact a different tuner and see if I can get a better tune, but I just wanted to see if anyone has gone through the same thing before I pull that trigger. Besides the ProCharger, the car just has a catback and some cosmetic mods, no headers.

I’ve never dealt with a carb kit. I’m assuming it’s supposed to work with stock injectors or provides the injectors for you right? If so everything should work. Maybe Erik from procharger can help you out.

It's my understanding that the CARB kit comes with an adequate tune to make the stock injectors work for a boosted application. I think that's where my problem lays considering the car is running super rich, but I don't know.

Obviously you aren’t worried about warranty because it’s a 2020 and just carb ramifications and passing that…. So maybe time to get a aftermarket tune on the car to help with you running super rich.

Did you start the car for the first time after install without having the tune loaded first?
