Even just a basic DRL plug and play cant be hard surely. Just get a female plug and connect it to the existing DRL connection job done. I know you still have to open the lights up but there are plenty of custom light places that will do that.
No, because our ugly EU DRLs go off when parking\headlights are on.
But I see your point, you can simply connect with a pass-through (male + female) connector to the parking lights.
The hard part is fitting the boards inside the headlights.

Yeah that's fine for a start. Eventually someone will hopefully come with a better solution.
Now who fancies making me this plug??
Considering that you will *never* remove them, also connecting with a quick splice connector is fine :D

Or just twiddle the wires together.
The driving lamps on my 1972 vx Chevette lasted ages like that.

That's fine because you can connect 2 power sources to the boards i.e.

1) From the original DRLs
2) From the parking lights.

So....

1) Off 2) Off = DRLs off
1) On 2) Off = DRLs on
1) Off 2) On = DRLs on

Actually the correct installation would be connecting the 'power' wire to a switched 12v source and the 'sense' wire to the parking lights. This mainly for three reasons:

1) the led driver can know if you have lights off or parking\headlights on, so it can dim the tribars with other lights on;
2) the stock drl are not only ugly, but the power is really unstable and in some cars is modulated (it's like a PWM behaviour). You won't notice with stock halogen bulb but with leds or electronic controlled lights they sometimes won't power on. Getting power from a reliable source will avoid these issues.
3) when turning, the ugly drl of the corresponding side goes off... so your tribar will goes off too. If you can accept with sequential (if it won't cause problems), this will be weird with 'regular' tribars without sequentials.

But guys, we have already discussed and eviscerated all aspects in the corresponding EU thread.. before making the same errors you should really read that thread that is full of info

I found out another solution, if you don't want to cut the wires, what I understand, you can make your own connection wires.

I explain:

Parking lights are T10 LED's, you can use a T10 wire adapter, only use the RED wire (power) and put it in the socket with eletrician tape around. Then, connexion done.

Turn signal, is a 7440 model, you can use a 7440 wire adapter, then make the same thing as parking light.

Then, need to find something like this for DRL and Ground.

On my car, ground is connected to the Battery's ground and it works fine.
Power for DRL (switched +12v) is like Papinist on the wipers motor.

If the lenses remained clear and it was plug and play, I would buy the rear set instantly.
