I have not been able to get any other information than its an air intake sensor, if it was the MAF they surely would have specified that. I am aware of air temperature and oxygen sensors, are there any other air intake sensors?
There is no concrete date of delivery for the part and they will only source Ford approved. The Ford garage is pushing my patience, only after a written complaint, this week they have told me they can't give a delivery date, before that I was getting told every 2 weeks the part is expected in 2 weeks. I was also informed they have an issue with sourcing parts, several transit vans in the shop waiting for parts for a similar duration. I purchased it on 5th August with a check engine light (under third-party warranty). it has since been with ford for over 2 months (They also replaced the intake manifold).
Do I wait this out and hope I have the car by Christmas? If anyone can give me advice on the list of parts it could be, prefered brands for compatible sensors or any online resources that could help sourche the parts would be much appreciated.
Courtesy car is a Toyota Corola. Buying a different 2017 Mustang is not looking like an option at the moment with current car stock in the UK. It's not a very common car here and to go easy on the wallet, I need one registered after April 1st 2017 for reduced road tax.
