I'm 61. Generally prefer the look of silver wheels, or black wheels with machined silver faces. Don't care for matte black, they look like they are dirty.
I see we think alike. We both have the same color California Special and we live within about 20 miles of each other. I posted above, number 163 of this thread. I’m with you regarding black wheels.

I just replaced the stock wheels on my V6 with charcoal gray. I like that they are a little lighter than pure black so the spokes show up better.

That's actually a very nicely done car. Looks great.

Thanks. It would look a little better if lowered. I wouldn't do anything drastic, maybe minimal drop springs.

Just know it might make the ride a bit harsher. IMO, it looks great just as it is. I think silver brings out the lines in these cars. Mine looks sinister in magnetic, but it also loses the visual detail. I did the lowering kit, mostly to calm the bounciness in the rear and it worked but I absolutely did not want the car looking slammed...like a low rider. Yours has very little wheel gap already. Enjoy it!

I totally agree about that. Some cars look like they don't have enough wheel travel to go over bumps.

That should look great on black. Looks close to the stock wheel though.
