no, generally it'll sit another week or so in order processing and then you'll get your window sticker which will show your blend date.

Ordered on May 2nd as well. Salesman emailed me on Thursday letting me know they got my VIN. Still waiting for them to send me it (likely Tuesday since it's a long weekend here):frusty:

We ordered ours 3/30 and the VIN did not appear until 4/17 with a build date of 5/6. A combination of allocation and the number of folks in front of you affects when the VIN is issued. Be patient.

Thanks. I think Im just getting hosed by the international orders that are starting to flow through. Also, COTUS doesn't have my build week listed. It just says in order processing and has a vin on the top left. No build week. This was just from Jeff at customer service.

I put my order in 5/9 (dealer said they sent it morning of 5/10, but it shows in COTUS at 5/9) and I just got my VIN today. I guess I got lucky? How long after a VIN appears usually until build?

Either I got lucky or I'm gonna get a big tease. I ordered the 18th and got my VIN today. No build date, just a VIN. We shall see

There are comments around here that production on the 2016 starts August 03. I'm not sure if this verified or rumor.

I'd rather take the incentives of a late 15 over waiting for a 16. Also, they start in August and you my not be top of the list so I do want to wait until September for a car. If I wanted anything the 16 has for changes maybe I wo wait but I rea don't.

I think we're getting caught in the international build schedule so that must be slowing things down. Whatever. Another two months without a payment makes room in the budget for exhaust.

You are probably right. Hopefully for you guys, the transport issues/delays affecting a bunch of us will be done when your car is ready to ship.
