Why the hell would you stick you arm out and adjust to the wrist? I adjust it as close as I comfortably can. Further away on long drives your arms will get fatigued.

I'm 6'1" and it's the first car I've had that I have to pull the seat up to put the clutch in. My poor little 5'5" girlfriend is jammed right up into the steering wheel.

I think I need that extender... I wasn't sure that they worked well, so I'm glad to hear that folks are happy with it.

the extender is nice, but still isn't enough for me :/ my right leg is wayyy too close to the pedals now (while still being comfortable with the clutch fully depressed).

I could use another 2-3 inches for my right foot.

the pedals are just very strangely distanced/spaced. the accelerator is further back vs the brakes. those 2 pedals are too far apart as well :/ I'm sure the aftermarket will help.
Below is what my pedals look like from a top view. Doesn't seem right, haha.

I'm not road racing. Why would I need it set up for that?

That seating position allows you to go hand over hand when steering without locking your elbows. For a lot of people, sitting that distance to the wheel will also allow you to depress the clutch fully and still have a bent knee. It's honestly more comfortable, IMO.

Slightly off topic, but did anyone put aftermarket pads on their pedals? If I'm going to put the extender on, it might be nice to upgrade the pads. (My base car just has rubber.)

most people tend to incorrectly sit too far away from the wheel.

I sent myself up so my legs have a slight bend when I depress the clutch pedal all the way to the floor. I like a fairly straight up seat back, then I pull the wheel all the way out. This allows me to gran the gears as well.

I can comfortably rest my arms on my lap / torso and drive with the bottom part of the wheel. And when I am holding the wheel at 10 and 2, my arms have a decent amount of bend.

I am 6' with a 32" inseam. I set seat back to a postion that allows me to push the clutch to the floor with a slight bend when pushed in. I then set the angle so I am bent slightly less than 90 degrees. I then set the seat height so I was looking out the center of the windshield. Since these settings all interact slightly it takes a couple go arounds. I adjust the wheel height and in and out so my arms are bent a little less than 90 degrees with my hands at 10 and 2.

I have 9k miles on the car and haven't found a need to touch the adjustments since the first setup. On long trips I will adjust the lumber setting to stream my back but don't making any other changes.
