Does it matter if you have Recaro or regular seats?

Does anyone else have an issue with the seat belt being right over the recline lever? I also find the shoulder strap really low and pulling on my shoulder all the time, I didn't see a way to adjust it up or down. Small issues really, just wonder if I'm the only one.

I have the same problem with the shoulder strap. I am also over 6 ft tall and don't have the recaro seats.

Mine are the regular seats.I keep mine loose from the magnetic strap, that helps while driving but makes it harder to reach while putting it on!
Glad I'm not the only one that thinks this is a design flaw....

I have the Recaros and I'm 5'11". I have it on the lowest setting and I don't have an issue.

My 2008 GT does the same thing and my solution was a seat beat extender. This moves the shoulder harness away from your neck a little bit and it really helps. When I test drove a 2015 I noticed the same issue with the belt digging into my neck. I think the extender was around $20 online, local auto parts did not have the extender type that has a buckle.

I had to do this on my 2006 GT because too close to neck on shoulder.
My 2015 had same problem for me.
I got this same extender listed above for my 2015 and it is now more comfortable across the shoulder.

Did that and cuts into my neck more. I lift my shirt up so the belt lands on it. Now wearing a tank top I pass it under my arm
One problem with putting it under your arm is, if someone (a cop) is looking in the rear view mirror at you, it can appear you are not wearing the belt. It is expected to see a belt over the shoulder.
The other problem is, it is less effective should you get in an accident.

Funny because I was one of the first to complain about this. All you guys up north were still in sweaters and didn't realize how much of a problem it is until spring hit. I bought a $5 microfiber seat belt pad from the auto parts store and helps a lot.

Yeah, I just took mine out of the magnetic holder and it rests at a much better angle. I hated the extra it took to actually grab it at first, but after a week, that doesn't bother me anymore either. And I figure it will rub the seat less now as it doesn't actually touch the seat anymore, which I like.
