Just can't get enuff!
Among the Porsche driving enthusiasts with whom I interact, very few are "Porsche snobs". As a matter of fact there has been a fair amount of discussion about this Mustang on the Rennlist Porsche forum, the vast majority being very positive. One guy posted some snobbish comment about it just being a Ford Mustang, and he was taken to task by other members about such a silly opinion.

Yes, we love our P-cars, but ultimately we are car enthusiasts. Heck, one of my favorite cars is the Mx-5 Miata! I won't hesitate to add a Mustang to my garage if the GT350 gives me the experience at Sebring I think it will based on all the positive comments I've read. I just won't pay an ADM. :-)
Agree! As a current Porsche owner, I have friends who also like late model American high performance cars... especially the newer ones like the C7, GT350, Hellcat, Z/28, CTS-V, etc.

I can somehow represent that demographic of import & domestic car enthusiast... I definitely do not snob nor look down on Mustangs, heck I can't wait for my '15 Avalanche Gray to arrive!

I guess this is the most recent/relevant thread for this…
Soooo, if we look at the 2017 FGT allocation process and read between the lines… what are we seeing?

Cars are being allocated to the customer, to be delivered to there dealer of choice.
Ford and FGT loyalty are being taken into consideration.
This implies MSRP and that the customer gets to choose what dealer gets the basic markup for the legitimately "very low production" car.
Very interesting.

Its apples and oranges, but its also pretty silly to think that the current GT350, GT350R ordering situation had nothing to do with this.

Pretty sure it had nothing to do with it. If you look at the rumored price range, $400-500k and see what the ordering process is for comparable cars, you see that it's actually a pretty common practice. This is Ford trying to be more upscale and selling a car wildly more expensive than any other it has produced before. They have to start acting like it (for better or worse).

The fact that there is high demand for a car that is 1/10th the price and will be produced 10x more has little bearing.

You have a good point. I'm pretty sure it will be around 375-380k. I have a friend who should be getting once… its pretty exciting.
