Scuff marks on plastic door sill

Just wondering about this carbon fibre wrap on the textured plastic lower door as a solution. Does this stuff leave residue which is a pita to get off later on? Especially on the plastic grain of the door. Am thinking being grained it should lift off easily? I don't mind the black carbon fibre look on that part of the door.
