Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone has run into this situation. I got a tune for a new CAI and subsequently got a revised tune for it. Yet when I try to load the file into the PCM the SCT device tells me that no changes have been made to the tune, do you still want to proceed with a full flash? The tuner confirms that changes to the MAF curve were made and that the files are correct.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Either he sent you the wrong one or you accidentally uploaded the old one again. Try deleting the tunes from the device/download the tune from email/upload tune/try flashing.

If that doesnt work I'd put my money on the tuner sent the wrong file.

Yeah that's what I'm going to do. I am always very careful at which tunes I load onto the device and change the name if necessary to reduce the chance of selecting the wrong tune. I could tell by the date stamp on my computer. I'm betting that the tuner sent me the wrong file.

I was just curious if maybe the SCT device mistakenly gives this message if only minor changes are made.

I've had some issues sometimes when I change the file name, could also have just been a corrupt file. I just leave the file name alone and put into marked folders and like you go by file date.

Only weird things I've had the x4 do is throw an error a minute into preparing the car to flash. Idk why it does it but I just turn the power off, exit and lock car then go back in, start the process again and works fine.

Wow, interesting. Maybe something happened then when I changed the file name in the Device Updater software. The other thing you said is also weird.
I'll tell ya what - after this is done I think I'm done with tuning.

Yeah, looks like it was me or something got mixed up in me trying to change the names. I deleted and re-added them and seems to be working now. Loaded the tune without a hitch this time.
