Hey,

I just bought a Roush cai. It comes with 2 tube sizes: stock 85mm or 105mm.

My question is can i use the canned sct x4 JLT intake tune with my 105mm roush intake? If not any suggestions will be appretiated.

No, the JLT is 110mm

Just use the tune for the stock CAI with the 85mm insert in the Roush
Thanks alot for answering. Will do

Any fast and cheap tune that u recommend?

Problem is my sct doesnt come with this custom tune like bama or other.

Can i get bama lifetime tune with my current sct x4 ?

The X4 has a "Strategy" tune you can run, update your tuner using the SCT software that you can download from their site and load the tune for the stock intake. The Roush with the 85mm insert will work fine with the tune for a stock intake. I ran the tune for a while and it was a nice improvement. I also logged it and everything looked great!

I'm sure you can use the JLT-oriented tune and be fine. If it doesn't run right, then run that CAI with the insert and use a 91/93 tune for the stock CAI. Really don't think 105 vs. 110 tube size is going to make a difference with the same MAF sensor. I'll freely admit, I could be wrong. That said, please get a Steeda, VMP, Lund, AED, or Palm Beach Dyno tune. If I had a penny for all the stories I hear about Bama tunes... from non-idiot people.

This advice seems to be the consensus on the boards.

My wife runs 93 octane. Shes the one with the AED/Roush combo.

the canned sct you would be able to do for the roush with the insert, setup for no cai

we could also do one of our lund custom tunes for you, that would really optimize what the car does. hit us up with any questions.

With an unmodified engine there is really no reason to remove the insert. The gain is so small it is not worth the added aggravation if you have to switch back to stock tune before taking into the dealer.
You can back this statement up by asking Roush Tech Support. Lund also told me the same thing. I've been both ways and could feel or see no difference with my Lund tune insert out or my Lund tune insert in.
Either way with the Lund tune it runs great. The mileage was worse with insert out by about .7 to .8 mpg averaged over about 1000 miles.

Guess I'm an idiot for running my diablosport (see sig). Love the custom 93 tune (running 94 octane). The car is a legit missile now
with the right guy tuning it.
