I'm looking to meet up with people doing the SCCA track night events at The Ridge Motorsports park in Shelton, WA, Portland International Raceway and Pacific Raceways in Kent WA.

There are 16 track nights planned throughout the summer and fall. Fees are $150 per event which is half the price other organizations charge. If anyone is headed to an event I'd like to meet up.

I got the email about that a few weeks ago. I may consider it but I after doing some SCCA auto x events last summer, and also doing track days at The Ridge with Turn2, the SCCA seemed kind of like Buzz Killington how they operate. Could be different at the track though.

I have done events with Turn2 as well as Hooked on Driving. Both are great outfits. I also did track nights last year at the Ridge as well as PIR. The track nights were well organized and I had a great time. I do run in the advanced groups normally so I can't speak to how the beginner and intermediate groups were ran.

At half the price of the other two organizations the SCCA is totally worth it for me.

Probably a different group of people for the SCCA that run the track days than the Solo events. That, and Solo is completely different. More work than driving.

I did the track night in america last year with the SCCA up in Michigan, it was one of the best track events ever. They were very laid back and really chilled, way better than any autocross event I went to. I highly recommend it.

Highvoltage, you should definitely go to The Ridge over Pacific Raceways. Night and day difference in track quality and experience. Well worth a longer drive. Check out some YouTube vids to see for yourself.

The Ridge is a fairly new track, going on 5 yrs old, owned by a local lumber family. They are putting a LOT of money into the facility to make it a destination track. 16 turns with good elevation changes and a very large pit area.
