Zero chance. The switch connectors are totally different. The actual connections to the airbag are standard, but it doesn't matter.

I wouldnt write this off as impossible.

The s550 uses a steering column control module and the s197 doesnt. The airbags and airbag connectors are different between those models as well. I have successfully done that swap.

Really all that matters is whether or not the steering wheel can mount directly to the s550 clockspring. Or if not, can the clockspring assembly mount to the s550 dash.

Everything else from there is just a matter of reverse engineering.

I did it start to finish in the s197 in 6 weeks.

There are button s on the S650 wheel that have no equivalent on the S550 and vice versa so there would be functionality issues even if it physically fits.

Yep, same with s550 to the s197.

Depending on the steering wheel you get, the following features don't exist in the s197.

- Gap up/Gap Down (adaptive cruise control)
- Mute
- (Horse) Driving Mode
- Nav
- Settings
- Paddle Shifters
- Heated Steering Wheel
- Even the Wiper switch has 6 intermittent speed modes, while the s197 only has 5.

In my walkthrough, I explain how you can leave them disconnected or repurpose them.

All I'm saying is, it's really the mounting points that determine what's feasible or not. The electronics are the easy part.
