So with the S550 being a "World Mustang" and it being able to be set up or purchased with so many varying features/option packages - does it contain similar wiring harnesses between models that in some instances the wiring harness may not be used if X-model did not come with X-feature?
I was under the driver side dash the other day exploring and saw that to the left of my brake pedal (looking at firewall from driver seat) that there is a harness coming from under the carpet and its attached to the firewall - except nothing is plugged into the connector.
I'm wondering if perhaps this is an additional "general" harness for some type of feature that is connected in another vehicle (or perhaps an S550 that has a manual trans)?
My vehicle is a EB, 6R80 trans, Premium w/Perf Pack. It has tons of features and I'm wondering what this connector would normally be connected to and what function "X" would be performed (or could possibly be added)?
I can't imagine Ford would design all separate body harnesses for all of the varying S550's (too costly) - so there must be some harnesses that are "general" between all models - used when needed, not used when X feature does not apply??
