so I have been going back and forth between vinal tint and the spray tint. I felt more comfortable with spray tint as I have used it many times before. so I figured out how to take out the tail lights, which wasn't so bad and would be real easy for those who don't have the sub. I did three coats, which I would call it a smoky look as in NC we can get in trouble when it comes to inspection time. anyways I snapped a few pics and if anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

I really want to do this but I also want to be able to revert back to the factory look if I want. And vinyl sucks after a while.

yea man so I know plenty of people that have removed this with paint thinner years later. I have no idea how to tint and I went the safe route and did spray and I love the look. the best thing is that you control how dark or light the tint is.

Wonder if you could "tint" the chrome emblems using this stuff.

I can't see why it wouldn't work. but they make a spray paint for chrome wheels that does pretty much the same thing. go to auto zone and they have over 50 different types of spray paint applications!

pull the back piece of the trunk out which is the piece of plastic around the latch held in by 4 knob like screws. pull the carpet back and the take off the three screws and one clip holding the light in place and it slides right out. with out the sub it can be done in 5 mins... the sub adds another 10 mins just due to the extra bolts holding it in place

If you ever need to reverse this for an inspection then you just wipe it off with mineral spirits. Might take a couple swipes but it comes right off.
