Ruby Red's with Stripes

UPS just delivered my set of Big Worm Super Snake stripes in matte black. Hopefully I can get them on this weekend, along with a tint.

Diego....definitely post pics if you can. I'm taking delivery of a Ruby Red GT soon and would LOVE to see those stripes on your car!

Would like to do gloss black Lemans Stripes on my Ruby. IMO most of the 6G's I see, the stripes are not fat enough which takes away from the appearance of the car...

I think if you're getting the Lemans stripes, the 10-inchers are the way to go. I don't like the look of the narrow ones either. I looked at the wide ones to start with, then I saw the super snakes on a ruby, and I was hooked.

Ruby with stripes

I did this and posted a while back in the "Show us your stripes" thread. I have since removed the wrap on the decklid.
Carbon fiber look stripes and wrapped deck lid
I wrapped the deck lid with 3M Di-noc graphite carbon fiber and did the stripes to match with silver accents (GT350 style). The silver picks up the nickel wheels well. The look changes depending on the lighting.

parking sensors and stripes

They caught my eye as well but I think I want the 10"ers. I just need to find time to go down and work it out with the local shop...

One callout, if you have the rear parking sensors, the 10" stripes interfere if you go full bumper coverage. I have seen the holes cut out, but I think it looks bad. Some have reduced the width on the bottom section too. the GT 350 style don't have that issue.

Can I ask where you got the stripes from and what kind they are? I'm getting ready to take delivery of a Ruby Red GT and I am l thinking heavily about stripes. Any info would be much appreciated!

They were done by these guys:

They do a lot of Mustang work (cosmetic and mechanical) and were featured at the national show in Columbus, OH this year. I found the material that I wanted and they have the templates and a laser cutter to do custom work. And most importantly - skilled staff that cares and knows what they are doing

Couldn't get in to see the stripe dude this weekend. I got an appointment for Thursday. Bummed that I have to wait, but the weather is supposed to be nice on Thursday, so there will be plenty of pics!

i got 10" on my OW and no parking sensor issues. just my two cents though

I have seen this with the true dual 10" kits, you would have to cheat and shave the bottom set to avoid the sensors.

I love my comp orange mustang but I'm pretty sure ruby red with black clear coat would be my next choice. This color looks like nothing else right at dusk/dawn. The color and all the lines on the car just really really pop. Beautiful color.

What would be black clear coat? I have a Ruby Red California Special coming next week. The more I see the pictures the more I feel excited about my color choice! Just trying to figure out stripes although I don't know if stripes would be overkill with the way the car looks with the CS package.

Got my stripes and tint done today, and just picked it up. Only had time before dark to shoot a couple quick pics on the phone. I'll get it out tomorrow and try to do it justice. It looks awesome...
